SPIE Power Services provides full asset management services for the 55MW Mumbida Wind Farm in Mount Hill, Western Australia, for owner Foresight Group. Comprising 22 GE 2.5XL wind turbine generators, the site has been under our management since 2023, when we took over from the original equipment manufacturer.
Foresight required a dedicated, independent O&M partner to replace the outgoing OEM and take full ownership of asset management for the wind farm. The transition needed to be seamless, maintaining turbine availability and reliability while improving operational cost efficiency and introducing a site-specific safety and environmental framework.
We assumed full operational responsibility for the site, developing a bespoke HSEQ and Environmental Management Plan tailored to Mumbida’s specific conditions. We also reviewed and updated the existing Asset Management Plan to reduce operational costs and optimise long-term maintenance strategies.
We integrated Mumbida into our 24/7 Remote Operations Centre, enabling continuous monitoring and rapid fault response. By deploying our specialised wind technician team and applying our in-house asset management capabilities, we drove meaningful improvements in reliability and operational performance across the 22-turbine fleet.
